A distinct 19th Century French "Oeuil de Boeuf" hanging Wall Clock. The Eye of the Ox is a Napoleon III style that elegantly surrounds the clock face in textured layers. Detailed inlaid marquetry in three color wood. The outer wooden sculpted rim wraps the frame and is painted black on the bevelled edges. The clock face is a round dial with roman numbers.
The entire front panel is hinged on the top to lift and access the clock mechanism.
This art nouveau clock does run but we cannot guarantee its accuracy and should be considered for decorative use.
